Goodbye Letter from the Board:
Shyanne, Kimberly, Lupita, Dave and volunteer Nathan
July 6, 2026
Dear Friends, We are writing to share that Greenly Art Space will be closing its operations in 2026. This comes after much thought and consideration and a decision that was not made lightly. Since our founding in 2010 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we have been honored to serve the art and non-profit community by enriching lives, cultivating community, creating contemplative art shows, offering a space for art-making, mentoring, and art therapy. We did this with the committed leadership of our founders Kimberly and Dave Hocking alongside and in collaboration with dedicated artists, supporters, volunteers, and board of directors who believe deeply in our mission. Together, we have provided a space to inspire the arts.
When we think about what it is to be Greenly, we think about Community, Contemplation, and Creativity. While we are proud of what we accomplished together, we are ready to sunset Greenly Art Space as Kimberly Hocking steps into retirement and dedicates her time in full to her art practice. We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who made Greenly possible: • Our dedicated founders Kimberly and Dave Hocking for their tireless efforts to make Greenly Art Space possible • Nathan Hocking for his technical support throughout the COVID era of virtual exhibitions and artist talks as well as his hands on support to the exhibitions • Our donors for your generosity • Our volunteers and board members for your dedication • Our artist community for your trust and meaningful art work shared through Greenly Our final exhibition will showcase the art collection belonging to Greenly Art Space and The Hocking Family which will highlight various works of art collected from the numerous exhibitions that Greenly Art Space did in its 16-years.
Please join us for this sunset show on Saturday August 29th from 5-6PM at Luminosity Studio 617 South Mesa Street, San Pedro, CA 90731. The impact of Greenly lives on through the community we built together. Though this chapter is ending, we hope that Greenly will continue to inspire future artistic efforts in our community. With gratitude, Greenly Art Space - Board of Directors Kimberly Hocking Dave Hocking Shyanne Grandi Lupita Gomez-Lamas
