The Dancing Storytellers perform at
Greenly Art Space "Darkness and Light"
The Dancing Storytellers have come together to forge a creative collaboration out of a shared commitment to artistic innovation, personal transformation and social change. They have performed their family show Indian Mythology and Me, all over Southern CA in theaters, schools, museums and festivals and are currently creating a new show, The "Summ" of all Things, about cycles in nature through a South Asian lens. Two of the Dancing Storytellers performed "A Butterfly Dreams"at the opening of "Darkness and Light" at Greenly Art Space on Oct. 21st, 2016.
Ulka Simone Mohanty is an actor, dancer and choreographer who has performed internationally and has choreographed multiple shows for Disney’s Animal Kingdom. She also voices the role of Dr. Kapur on the kids’ animation show Nina’s World, on Sprout TV.
Acclaimed as a “tour de force” by the Los Angeles Times, Shyamala Moorty has toured her dance and theater work across the U.S. as well as to Canada, Europe, and India. She is a CORE artist with TeAda productions, co-founder of the Post Natyam Collective, and teaches yoga in Long Beach and West LA.
